According to the notification, 24 Bangladeshi women domestic workers have been rescued from the city of RR, which is about 1100 km from the capital Riyadh, on the initiative of the Bangladesh Embassy. With the help of the Saudi authorities, the process of sending the rescued female domestic workers to the country is continuing. After learning that the Saudi Recruiting Agency has illegally detained 24 Bangladeshi women domestic workers, the Bangladesh Embassy in Saudi Arabia took the initiative to quickly rescue them and send them home. When the embassy official wanted to meet the female workers on the spot, the concerned Saudi recruiting agency, Maktab Tawasul Alsari, prevented them. In view of this, 24 female domestic workers were rescued and handed over to the Saudi Female Deportation Center with the help of Saudi Arabia's law enforcement agencies. Besides, the rescued female domestic workers are provided with adequate food, drink and medical care. A case has been filed against the accused Saudi recruiting agency and their agency has been shut down.
24 women workers were sent to Saudi Arabia through Saudi Recruiting Agency Maktab Tawasul Alsari and Bangladeshi Recruiting Agency Messrs. S. Anwar Overseas. Their employers illegally detained them for long periods without sending them home, and they were cut off from all contact with their families. During this time, they fell ill due to lack of adequate food and drink, but no medical care was given to them.
