Lakshmipur Press Club has protested the attack on journalists while gathering news of students' movement demanding safe roads in the capital.
On Thursday (09 August) at noon, the organization held an hour-long human chain program in protest against the incident.
Laxmipur Press Club President Kamal Uddin Howladar, Vice President MJ Alam, General Secretary Saidul Islam Pabel, Journalist Azizul Haque, Hossain Ahmad Shahjahan, Habibur Rahman Sabuj, Saiful Islam Swapan, AQM Shahabuddin, Ismail Hossain Zabu, Nizam Uddin, Sajjadur Rahman, Zahirul Islam Shiblu and others.
Other journalists working in the district were also present in it.
The speakers said that journalists are being tortured across the country. Conspiracy cases are sometimes harassed. These situations are not desirable at all. Journalists cannot be blocked from publishing the truth by prosecution. We protest the attacks on journalists in the capital and demand the arrest of those involved.
