Police constable Mahbub Alam of Atpara police station has been accused of soliciting votes for the candidate of Boat in Netrakona-3 seat. In this regard, on behalf of independent candidate Iftikhar Uddin Talukder Pintu, the joint convener of his election management committee filed a written complaint with UNO and Assistant Returning Officer of Atpara last Tuesday. Meanwhile, a hearing was held on the response of Health Minister Zahid Malek, candidate for the boat symbol in Manikganj-3 constituency, to the complaint of using the national flag in a private car during the election campaign and adopting the state protocol. District Senior Assistant Judge and District Election Inquiry Committee Chairman Sharmistha Biswas heard Shokaj yesterday. Later, the response of the health minister's condolence was sent to the EC.
