The mobile court fined 6 lakh rupees to 6 business establishments in Lakshmipur for various irregularities including cheating in the name of treatment, selling expired medicines, selling adulterated food in unhealthy environment. 6 people were sentenced to 6 months and one year to one year.
The sentence and fine were handed down on Thursday afternoon. Before that, RAB-11 Lakshmipur camp raided those institutions from morning to noon and arrested the convicts. Executive Magistrate Ariful Islam conducted the mobile court.
RAB 11 Laxmipur campo company captain Major AM Ashraful Islam said that raids were conducted on Thursday in various bakeries, pharmacies and diagnostic centers in Laxmipur district town on various allegations of irregularities. Meanwhile, 7 people were arrested due to various irregularities.
Later, when they were produced in the mobile court, 6 were sentenced to six months' imprisonment and one to one year's imprisonment. Also, 6 institutions were fined 6 lakh rupees. Punished organizations and individuals are - Medinova Diagnostic Center owner Murad Hossain, fake eye doctor Jahangir Hossain, fake technician Khorshed Alam, Lubna Pharmacy owner fake doctor Pradeep Majumdar, Ma Dental owner fake doctor Humayun Kabir, Lucky Dental Care owner Mahfuzur Rahman, Bhabaniganj intersection Ruchi. Abul Kalam is the owner of the bakery.
