The police arrested two persons including the accused in the rape case in a separate operation in Ramganj of the district.
They were arrested from North Hanubaishpur area of police upazila on Friday (August 26) morning.
The arrested are the son of Alam Mia of North Hanubaishpur area of the upazila. Fazlur Rahman (60), son of Mainuddin (22) and Ahmad Ali of Keshukura area of Baralekha upazila of Moulvibazar.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ramganj police station Tonta Mia said that on the basis of secret information, Mainuddin, the accused in madrasah girl rape case, and drug dealer Fazlur Rahman were arrested along with half a kg of ganja.
He also said that the arrested will be handed over to the court.
