This year's Junior School Certificate (JSC)-Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) exam results have been released.
In a briefing in his ministry at the secretariat on Thursday afternoon, the education minister said that the pass rate in JSC-JDC this year is 93.06 percent. Last time it was 92.33 percent. As such, the pass rate has increased by 0.73 percent this year.
The minister said that two lakh 47 thousand 588 people got GPA 5 in two exams this time. This time 51 thousand 325 students got more GPA 5 than last time.
The education minister said that the number of institutions that passed 100 percent this year is 9,450. He said that there were 19 lakh 93 thousand 316 JSC candidates in eight general education boards. 18 lakh 51 thousand 496 passed. And under Madrasa Education Board there were 3 lakh 53 thousand 643 candidates. Among them 3 lakh 32 thousand 479 passed.
Earlier, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the JSC-JDC result copy to the Prime Minister at Ganabhaban on Thursday morning.
