Palli News Dex: Kapasia Upazila Parishad and Kapasia Thana have been given a letter by 'militant organization Kapasia' with 'warning of destruction'.
The letter sent by post on Tuesday afternoon was written by Upazila Nirbahi Karmakata (UNO). Reached Anisur Rahman. The letter has also threatened the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kapasia police station.
Anisur Rahman told reporters that he received the handwritten letter on white paper at noon. Go to Gazipur district town to inform higher authorities including District Commissioner about the matter. Later in the evening he informed about the threat letter from the militant organization.
UNO also said that the letter was sent from Kapasia Post Office. The envelope of the letter bears the seal of Kapasia Post Office on June 19. The address of the sender has been given in the name of the militant organization of Pabur village in the upazila.
The letter says, 'Barabar Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Kapasia, Gazipur. Subject - Terrorism Warning. One day suddenly Kapasia upazila will be destroyed. No one can force us. OC will be destroyed along with Kapasia. I gave a warning. The above instructions have been given to us. Humble petitioner- Militant organization Kapasia. Gazipur district will also be destroyed.' A general diary (GD) has been filed in UNO police station in this incident.
In this regard, OC AB Siddique told reporters that after learning about the matter, security has been strengthened at various important places in the upazila, including thana. The threat is being investigated
