Police arrested 8 workers of Mahila Jamaat in Kamalnagar of Lakshmipur. (Today) They were arrested during a secret meeting at 1 house in Maulana Para of Char Falcon Union at 6 pm on Thursday.
The arrested are Shiuli Akhtar (24) husband Monir Hossain, Lubna Akhtar (18), father- Saiful Islam, Mahinur Begum (22) husband Nizam Uddin, Parul Akhtar (22) husband Abu Nasser Roni, Zulekha Begum (24) husband Abdur Rahim, Nargis (20) husband- Shahadat Hossain, Marjan (28) husband Tashmin, Jahanara Begum, husband- Md Main Uddin.
Kamalnagar police station SI Azad Uddin said that they were arrested on the basis of secret information.
Kabir Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Kamalnagar police station, said that several Jihadi books were recovered during the arrest. A case is pending against them.
