In Laxmipur's Kamalnagar Upazila Hajihat Millat Academy, the students boycotted classes and locked the class room to demand the removal of Mihir Das, the teacher who insulted the students.
(Today) Sunday, at 10 am, the incident of locking the class room took place in Millat Academy. In February this year, teacher Mihir Das humiliated a class 8 student of that school.
The victim of the insult said that when she went to take private English lessons with teacher Mihir Das, he tried to harass me as there were no students at that time. I somehow escaped from his grip and informed my guardian. I can't go to school for 4 months because of shame and humiliation.
The student's uncle said, we informed the president in writing on behalf of the family. The president has assured that he will take appropriate action in this regard. So we have no legal system. But so far the school authorities have not taken any action.
The students, who did not wish to reveal their names, said that there is nothing to teach the teacher who has moral lapses. We demand his death for the safety of all our sisters.
Teacher Mihir Das said, I will resign from the job.
In this regard, the president of the school committee, Advocate Khair Ejaz Masood, said that he confessed the crime to the managing committee. We will take appropriate action against the accused teacher.
