In Lakshmipur's Kamalnagar, the office of a rival candidate in the UP election was vandalized. In the Char Martin UP election, activists and supporters of Boat Pratik vandalized the office of independent candidate Md Jahangir (motor cycle) at Munsirhat Bazar on Friday evening. Chairman candidate Md. Jahangir said that 10-15 workers/supporters of government party candidate Yusuf Ali Mia Bhai's younger brother Sumon vandalized my office during their public meeting in Munsirhat Bazar and locked the office and government party people openly threatened from the public meeting that no one will be in the center. Agents are not given and to leave the area. Earlier in the afternoon, they took a set of mics while doing the Hunder miking. The OC of Kamalnagar police station visited the spot and said that he will ask the rival candidate to compensate the damage of the damaged chair. Similarly, BNP candidate Dr. Ali, Hatpakha candidate Mosleh Uddin Noori said that they openly tear down our posters with cocktails, sticks, Honda Mohra, obstruct miking and do not allow any of our workers to stay on the streets.
In this regard, government party candidate Md. Yusuf Ali Mia Bhai said that the excited crowd vandalized their office. No worker or supporter of our party has done this.
Kamalnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kabir Ahmed said, I went to the spot and found nothing. Upazila election officer Zakir Mahmud said, I asked the police to look into the matter. And RAB, Police, BJB will be in the field to make the election fair.
