People of Awami League supported candidate attacked the chairman candidate Ali Ahmed supported by BNP in Char Martin Union Parishad (UP) election of Kamalnagar upazila of Lakshmipur.
The attack took place at the Darul Uloom Madrasa center on Monday (October 31) around 10:15 am during voting.
Eyewitnesses said that when BNP candidate Ali Ahmed arrived at the polling station in the morning, his people attacked and beat him in the presence of Awami League candidate Yusuf Ali.
