In Kamalnagar of Lakshmipur, the child marriage of a class 6 student was stopped due to the intervention of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Masudur Rahman Mollah. (Today) At 1 pm on Wednesday, the administration got the information about the child marriage ceremony of a 6th class girl in Char Basu area of Char Kadira Union and stopped it. Shiuli Akter (12) daughter of Md. Siraj Muhuri of Char Bose area and 6th standard student of Char Bose SCDP High School. Md. Siraj Muhuri said that he will not marry her until she is 18 years old.
