Delivering four children together

A woman named Shakila Begum (22) gave birth to four children at a hospital in the capital. She gave birth to these four children at Uttara Modern Medical College Hospital today, Monday at 11 am. One of them is a son and the other three are daughters.

Shakila Begum is a resident of Gopalnagar village in Dipara union of Comilla district.

Confirming the matter, Nilufar Shamim Afza said, 'Shakila Begum was admitted to this hospital 15 days ago. Later, after various tests, at 11 o'clock on Monday, she gave birth to four consecutive children through caesarean section. Among the newborns are one boy and three girls. The boy weighs 1 kg 800 grams, one of the three girls weighs 1 kg 600 grams and the other two weigh 1 kg 400 grams.

Dr. Nilufar said that the four newborns and their mothers are healthy and said that the babies are pre-mature and cannot suck their mother's milk. As a result, they have been kept in the neonatal ICU. Hopefully - within the next 2/3 days those newborns can be given to their mothers.
