Palli News Dex, Chittagong: The depression formed in the Bay of Bengal on 05 November 2016 is turning into a deep depression and is taking the form of a cyclone. As a result, the sea is rough. The latest bulletin of the Meteorological Department has asked to show warning signal number 4 in the sea and adjacent coastal areas. Oman has named this cyclone 'Nada'. As a result, two storms are forming in the Bay of Bengal in one week.
The bulletin of the Meteorological Department said that the low pressure located in the west-central Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas is moving slightly northwards and is staying in the same area. However, it is rapidly turning into a deep depression. It was located at 6 am today, Saturday, 965 km. West-Southwest of Chittagong Seaport, 935 km. West-Southwest of Cox's Bazar Seaport, 800 km. Southwest of Mongla Seaport and 820 km. Southwest of Payra Seaport. It may further intensify and move north-northeastwards. Due to the influence of the low pressure, the formation of deep circulating clouds continues in the north Bay of Bengal. Due to this, stormy winds may blow over the coastal areas and seaports of North Bay of Bengal and adjacent Bangladesh.
The previous bulletin of the Meteorological Office has informed that the maximum sustained wind speed within 44 km of the depression center is 40 km per hour, which is increasing up to 50 km in the form of gusts or squalls. The sea is rough in the area near the depression center.
The seaports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been asked to display local warning signal number four.
All fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay of Bengal have been asked to remain close to the coast and to exercise caution until further notice. They have also been asked not to venture into the deep sea.
