Freedom fighter Shahajan Chowdhury is no more in Lakshmipur's Kamalnagar. He died at Dhaka Medical College after suffering a heart attack at 4:30 pm on Wednesday. He was 78 years old at the time of his death.
In 1971, he was serving as a soldier in the Pakistan Army, after which he participated in the Great Liberation War under Sector 2. The death of this freedom fighter cast a shadow of mourning on Kamalnagar. He left behind his wife, 4 sons, 4 daughters and numerous well-wishers. According to family sources, he will be cremated with state honors at his family graveyard tomorrow at 10 am.
