BNP has given certificates (letters) to 800 candidates for party nomination in 280 out of 300 constituencies. The BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan was festive for the last two days and nights. Letters have been sent to more than one candidate in almost all constituencies except BNP Standing Committee members. Letters have also been given to three-four people in some seats.
Basically the first choice candidate will be given the final nomination if no legal complications arise. But due to which multiple candidates have been given in the same seat:
1. prevent insurgent candidates;
2. Not keeping the seat vacant if the candidature is canceled due to litigation;
3. Failure to finalize seats with Jatiya Oikya Front and 20-party coalition;
4. The seat should not remain vacant if the candidature of someone is canceled due to default.
5. Do not allow to change parties.
