The High Court has set July 3 as the date for hearing the ACC's application seeking an increase in Khaleda Zia's sentence in the corruption case. The appeals of the remaining two accused and the rule issued in the wake of the ACC's revision will also be heard simultaneously.
A High Court bench comprising Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md. Mostafizur Rahman gave the order on Sunday.
Apart from Khaleda Zia, the other two are former Magura MP Kazi Salimul Haque Kamal alias Econo Kamal and businessman Sharfuddin Ahmed.
Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan represented the ACC in the court. Advocate Zainul Abedin, Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Barrister AKM Ehsanur Rahman, Advocate Masud Rana, and others represented Khaleda Zia in the court.
