11 people, including the leader of Jamaat's women's organization, were detained in Lakshmipur

During the secret meeting in Lakshmipur, the police arrested 11 people including Jamaat women's organization leader Shirin Akhtar. They were arrested from the roof of an under-construction building in Muktiganj of Paur city around 8 pm on Friday. Meanwhile, 5 books and a diary of the organization along with the book of Syed Abul Ala Maududi have been seized. According to the police, Shirin Akter, who was arrested, is the president of Sadar Upazila of Jamaat Women's Association. The others arrested are Nachima Begum, Poppy Begum, Kohinur, Jannatul Ferdous, Rokeya Begum, Shireen, Parveen Sultana, Ferdowsi, Runu, Tazkia and Kulchum. All of them are residents of different areas of the district. Abdullah Al Mamun, acting officer of Sadar police station, said that 11 members of Jamaat's women's organization were arrested from the secret meeting.
