Staff Reporter: Banani Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Salah Uddin was killed in a terrorist-police exchange of fire at a restaurant called 'Holy Artisan Bakery' on Gulshan Road 79 in the capital. Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner of Police Sheikh Maruf Hasan told the media that Salahuddin was left in a bloody state. Doctors declared him dead when he was taken to the hospital.
Police, RAB and BGB members have surrounded Holy Artisan Bakery and its surroundings on Road No. 79, very close to Lakeview Clinic. RAB helicopter is patrolling the sky.
At least 25 people, including the police, were injured in the shootings and explosions surrounding the bakery
