The court of the United States moved with Google's monopoly market on Android phones. Earlier, another US court judge had given strict orders about Google search engine. On this day, the jury of the court asked in favor of taking action against Google.
According to Deutsche Welle, Google imposes certain conditions on phone companies to download an app from the Play Store of Android phones. For three years, companies can only use Google-made apps on phones 'by default'. That is, those apps can be used as 'in-apps' on the phone. Google's rival app companies do not get this opportunity. The US court ruled against this system.
The judge ordered the formation of a three-member monitoring team. Those who will keep an eye on whether Google is doing the same in the coming days.
The court said that this judgment will be effective from September 1. In some cases exemption has been given till July 1. The court asked to ensure that Google does not have a monopoly and that rival companies get equal opportunities.
About 70 percent of the world's smartphone users use Android phones. Google has a monopoly there. Google dominates everywhere from search engines to apps.
Google said that they will appeal against this verdict in the high court. If the court's decision is to be implemented, it will have a negative impact on consumers spread across the world, including the United States. Because in order to make this change, a huge change has to be made.
Google Vice President Lee-Anne Mulholland said, we will appeal. We will work for the benefit of the users. We don't want to put consumers in trouble.
Google now gives Android companies a condition. Home page should have their app store and pre-install Google apps.
