Independent candidate Ziaur Rahman has won Burail UP elections in Nandigram, Bogra. He was elected chairman by getting 11 thousand 270 votes on the autorickshaw symbol. His nearest rival Abdul Malek got 6 thousand 918 votes in Chashma symbol. This is known in the results obtained from 16 centers on Wednesday evening. Awami League nominated Mofazzal Hossain Mondal got 1 thousand 834 votes in boat symbol, Ahsanul Haque Sohag got 483 votes in motorcycle symbol, Ruhul Amin Himel got 249 votes in pineapple symbol and Bhavesh Chandra Sarkar got 3 thousand 929 votes in horse symbol. Meanwhile, from 8 am to 4 pm, voting in EVM machines went on smoothly and peacefully in 16 centers. Total voters in the election were 30 thousand 326 people.
