Organized by Social Impact Lab of BRAC University and BRAC, a workshop was recently held at BRAC University to sensitize students on various road safety regulations and risk assessment.
Elias Kanchan, founder and chairman of voluntary social organization 'Nirapad Sadak Chai', was present as a special guest in this workshop. BRAC Road Safety Director of Administration Ahmed Nazmul Hossain, BRAC Road Safety Program Manager M Khalid Mahmood, BRAC University Joint Director of Student Life Tahsina Rahman, BRAC University School of Data and Sciences students and Social Impact Lab Founder President Srijan Vanik were among others present on the occasion. Social Impact Lab is a platform for BRAC University students to create positive impact in society by bringing together leadership students and changemakers.
This workshop was conducted by Elias Kanchan. At this time, he called upon the students to work with enthusiasm to build a safe world and assured the necessary support from his organization.
At this time, Road Safety Program Manager of BRAC M Khalid Mahmood said about various activities of BRAC regarding road safety policy. In the workshop, students asked various questions about the necessary changes in road safety regulations.
Later, a skit entitled 'Better Safe Den Sari' was shown to sensitize the students on the use of motorcycles. BRAC Road Safety Director of Administration Ahmed Nazmul Hossain gave an enlightening speech on road safety in the workshop.
