After taking blessings on her birthday, Narendra Modi wrote an emotional status about his mother. He also shared it on Twitter.
PM Modi wrote, 'Mother' is not just a word. The word 'mother' is associated with emotion. Today 18th June my mother Hiraben turned 100 years old. On this special day I want to express my joy and gratitude to mother.
Modi's text shared on Twitter also reads, 'My mother Hiraben has entered the centenary. Today, I am extremely happy and fortunate. Had my father lived, he too would have celebrated his 100th birthday last week. 2022 is a special year. Because my mother's centenary year is about to begin and my late father will complete his centenary year.'
A religious program has been organized to mark the birthday of the mother in Bhadnagar, Narendra Modi's constituency. Modi's family hosted a community meal at the Jagannath temple in Ahmedabad state. Hiraben Modi lives with Modi's younger brother Pankaj Modi in Raisan village on the coast of Gandhinagar.
