What is Marburg virus and how is it spread?

For two and a half years, the whole world is suffering from the coronavirus epidemic. A few months ago Monkeypox also attacked. In the meantime, another deadly new virus outbreak called Marburg has started.

According to a report by the international media BBC, two people have died in Ghana due to the highly contagious Marburg virus. Along with that, 98 people have been kept in quarantine. As a result, the possibility of a new widespread outbreak of the virus has arisen.

In 1967, the first outbreak of Marburg virus began. People from South and East Africa are most affected by this highly contagious and deadly virus. Hundreds of people have died from this virus in Africa before.

Symptoms of Marburg virus include diarrhea, fever, nausea and vomiting. Like the Ebola virus, a person infected with this disease has a sudden onset of illness, high fever, severe headache. The death rate for Marburg virus ranges from 24-88%.
