The Ijtema ended in Lakshmipur with the last prayer. In this, devout 6 lakh Muslims participated in the prayer.
Sunday (December 25) Akheri prayer begins at 12 noon and ends at 12:30.
Bus-trucks, pickup vans, CNG-powered auto-rickshaws, motorcycles and groups of pilgrims on foot from different places came in Ijtema and joined the final prayer. Due to this, severe traffic jam has been created on Ramgati-Lakshmipur road.
On Sunday (December 25) from 7 am, passengers and vehicles were stuck in a 4 km long traffic jam from Torabganch to Bhabaniganj College area.
Security has been strengthened in the Ijtema premises and surrounding areas by the administration in view of the last prayer.
The 3-day regional World Ijtema has started in Lakshmipur from Friday (December 23). Ijtema was organized on a large field on 27 acres of land in Gopta area of Bhavniganj Sutar next to Lakshmipur-Ramgati road.
