Symbols have been allocated among 84 candidates, including 3 chairman candidates, in the Lakshmipur Zilla Parishad elections.
The symbols were allocated among the candidates at the District Commissioner's conference room on Monday (December 12) afternoon.
Awami League candidates for the post of chairman are the current district council administrator Shamsul Islam (pineapple), former district Awami League president M Alauddin (horse) and Ramganj Upazila Awami League president Md. Shahjahan (helicopter) who have received the symbols.
At this time, symbols were also allocated among 15 women and 66 general candidates for reserved member positions.
The matter has been confirmed by the District Election Office.
Lakshmipur District Council elections will be held on December 28. A total of 84 candidates, including 3 chairman candidates, will contest in the district.
