Police have recovered the body of a madrasa student named Rozina Akhtar (13) in Raipur, Lakshmipur, a day after she went missing.
The body was recovered from the betel nut garden of Miji's house in Ward No. 7 of Raipur Municipality around 4 pm on Monday (December 12).
Rozina was the daughter of Shafiq Ullah of the area and a fourth-grade student at the local Khadija Kobra Women's Madrasa.
Rozina's mother Monowara Begum told Banglanews that Rozina left home for madrasa on Sunday (December 11) morning and did not return home. Despite extensive searches, no trace of her was found.
Raipur Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Sharif said the body has been recovered and sent to Lakshmipur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Legal action will be taken after investigating the incident.
