The government has directed to submit the registration fee to government and private management for Haj pilgrims by February 20.
On Saturday (February 10), the Ministry of Religious Affairs has given instructions in this regard to all the pilgrims who have registered for the Hajj of 2024 by depositing Tk 2 lakh and 5 thousand.
It is said that, due to the decision of the Saudi government, by February 25, both government and private means of Hajj pilgrims must complete tent acceptance, Mayallem acceptance, hotel rental, transportation contract etc. in Mina. For that reason, Hajj pilgrims who registered early are requested to submit the remaining registration money by February 20.
The holy Hajj will be held on June 16 (9th Zilhaj of 1445 Hijri) subject to moon sighting. One lakh 27 thousand 198 people from Bangladesh can perform Hajj this year. Out of this, 10 thousand 198 people can perform Hajj through government and 1 lakh 17 thousand people privately.
After several rounds of extension, till February 6, 4 thousand 260 people registered through government and 78 thousand 895 people through private channels.
The government has announced two Hajj packages for 2024 Hajj under government management. Out of this, the general package will cost 5 lakh 78 thousand 840 taka. And the special package will cost 9 lakh 36 thousand 320 taka. Airfare in both packages will cost 1 lakh 94 thousand 800 taka. Last time it was 1 lakh 97 thousand 797 taka.
And the minimum cost for performing Hajj in private 'general package' will be 5 lakh 89 thousand 800 taka. 82 thousand 818 rupees decreased compared to last year. And through private 'special package' Hajj will cost 6 lakh 99 thousand 300 taka.
