The body of a man named Iqbal Hossain (55) who went missing while walking in Nikli, Kishoreganj, was recovered floating in the water in the afternoon after he went missing in the morning. Police recovered his body from under the Katakhali Bridge next to President Abdul Hamid Road on Friday afternoon.
The deceased Iqbal Hossain is the son of the deceased Mohiuddin Mia of Nikli Nagar Barabari.
Family members of the deceased said that Iqbal Hossain left his house for a walk as usual in the morning. But he did not return home. Later, around 4:30 pm, the locals found his body under the Katakhali bridge and informed the police. The police went to the spot and recovered his body and took it to the police station.
Nikli Police Station OC Muhammad Mansur Ali Arif said that necessary legal action is being taken in this regard.
