66 percent of the citizens of the country expressed their support for the Prime Minister and 64 percent of the citizens for the Awami League-led government.
According to the results of a survey conducted by the Washington-based International Republican Institute (IRI), Bangladesh's economy is progressing as expected under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. 62 percent of citizens feel that the country is on the right track in terms of economic progress. 69 percent of citizens expressed satisfaction with economic development. This information was reported on August 30 in a research report by the international research organization Center for Insight and Survey.
According to the report, currently Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's popularity has increased. Sheikh Hasina is popular with 66 percent of citizens. On the other hand, Awami League has the support of 64 percent of citizens.
According to the note of the research report, the current government has taken effective steps to ensure the safety of the people. And that is why 68 percent citizens are satisfied with the public safety system. Among them, 57 percent think that the public security system will improve further in the future.
These statistics were conducted from April 10 to May 21 this year. There, the total population of the country is divided into several stages (multi-stage stratified probability sample) and data is collected by calling them directly or at home (in person/in home).
According to the report, 75 percent of the youth believe that Bangladesh will become a more developed country in the next 15 years and 60 percent of them think that the country is moving in the right direction. This research report also informed that the most popular and trusted leader of the country is the current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. There, 72.3 percent of citizens expressed 'good opinion' in favor of Sheikh Hasina in running the country. In this report, 26.6 percent of the citizens expressed a 'good opinion' in favor of Khaleda Zia in running the country.
