6 candidates, including 1 chairman candidate, withdraw from Lakshmipur Zilla Parishad elections

Six candidates, including chairman candidate Abdur Razzak Chowdhury, have withdrawn their nomination papers for the Lakshmipur Zilla Parishad election.

They withdrew from the election on Sunday (December 11), the last day for withdrawal of nomination papers. The matter was confirmed by sources from the district election office in the evening.

The member candidates who withdrew their nomination papers are Nur Nabi of Ward No. 3, Mainul Hossain and Aminul Bari Mohammad Shamsul Omar of Ward No. 7, and Zafar Ullah Dulal Hasan and Delwar Hossain of Ward No. 4.

Chairman candidate Abdur Razzak Chowdhury, who withdrew his nomination, is the Lakshmipur district president of the Jatiya Party (Matin).

Incidentally, the current administrator and former additional secretary Shamsul Islam is the government party candidate in the Lakshmipur Zilla Parishad election. On the other hand, district Awami League president M Alauddin and Ramganj Upazila Awami League president Md. Shahjahan will contest as rebel candidates.
