Kidnapping of friend in Lakshmipur; Not found for five days

Karim Hossain (30) was accused of abducting his two friends Machum and Khorshed from his home in Lakshmipur. The family alleged that they also looted the businessman's workshop on the same night. Even though the looted goods were recovered, the police could not trace the businessman even after five days. However, the police say that the investigation is ongoing to find out the root cause of the abduction. Karim's father and elder brother confirmed the matter to the media on Sunday (October 28) evening.
Earlier on Wednesday (October 24) around 9 pm, two friends of the young man named Masud and Khorshed called from the front of the house in Lamchari area of Lakshmipur city. Since this incident, his family has been in mourning.
Businessman Karim is the son of Ruhul Amin of Lamchari village and a local worksop trader. Two accused friends Masud and Khorshed are sons of Safiq Ulya and deceased Ebayet Ulya of the same village.
The businessman's father Ruhul Amin and elder brother Farooq Hossain said that Karim was called from home on Wednesday night by his friends Masud and Khorshed. Since then he has been missing. Even after searching in different places, his evening was not found. That night, two friends ransacked Karim's (worksop) shop and looted the goods. In this incident, the next day (Thursday) the businessman's father Ruhul Amin made a general diary at the Sadar police station. Later, the police conducted a raid and recovered the looted goods from Masud and Khorshed, but the abducted businessman Karim was not recovered even after five days. The statements of the accused Masud and Khorshed are not known in this regard.
When asked about this, Deputy Inspector General of Police (SI) Abu Nasser said that a written complaint has been filed by the businessman's family. The goods have been recovered. The operation to rescue the abducted businessman is ongoing.
