Palli News Dex: Five activists of both sides were injured in a clash between two groups of Chhatra League in Lakshmipur. The car was vandalized.
The incident took place in North Temuhani of the district town on Thursday (July 14) evening.
Among the injured, Lakshmipur Sadar Thana Chhatra League joint convener Kanak Kwari has been admitted to Sadar Hospital. Others were given first aid.
According to local sources, the clash took place between the followers of District Chhatra League President Chowdhury Mahmudunnabi Sohel and General Secretary Rakib Hossain Lotus for harassing a student of Dalal Bazar Degree College. Both groups vandalized around 7/8 vehicles. Later the police came and brought the situation under control.
Lakshmipur Assistant Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Junayet Kausar said that the police quickly reached the spot and brought the situation under control. However, legal action will be taken if the affected vehicle owners complain.
