A colorful rally and discussion meeting was held in Lakshmipur to mark the 64th anniversary of Ittefaq's diamond jubilee.
On this occasion, on Saturday morning, a rally left the Press Club premises, followed by a circuit of the city's main roads and met at the Rose Garden Chinese and Party Center for discussion. At the beginning, the 64th anniversary of Ittefaq was celebrated by cutting a cake.
Later in the discussion meeting Lakshmipur district representative of Ittefak. Laxmipur district Awami League President Miya Md. was the chief guest in the meeting held under the chairmanship of Abdul Malek. Golam Farooq Pinku, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Nuruzzaman, District Information Officer Md. Abdulya Al Mamun, District Women's Organization Chairman Farida Yachmin Lika, Raipur Municipal Awami League convener Kazi Jamshed Kabir Bakki Billah, District Community Policing General Secretary Zakir Hossain Bhunya Azad and others. Ittefak Ramganj upazila representative Zakir Hossain Mostan and Raipur upazila representative MR Sumon were present at this time. Also, the social, cultural, political and civil society members of the district including the journalists of the print and electronic media of the district.
At the beginning of the meeting, the founding editor of Ittefaq, Tafazzal Hossain Manik Mia and his family members, and the late oppressed public leader Mao, who acted as guiding force in its construction style, were remembered with humble respect. In the meeting, the 64-year-old history of Bengal and Bengali and the vanguard of the struggle of Bengali daily Ittefaq were well-wished for its progress.
