Staff Reporter: The mobile court fined 3 garment shops in Laxmipur city again. At that time, a fine of Tk 45,000 was imposed on the charges of selling clothes at more than double profit in those market places. Meanwhile, ordinary buyers are happy that the district administration is conducting mobile courts with an eye on the cut-throat profits of traders.
This mobile court was conducted on Wednesday afternoon under the leadership of Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Md. Nuruzzaman and the assistance of Assistant Commissioner (Sadar Land) Samar Chandra Basak.
It is known that due to the complaints of ordinary customers, Bipani Bitan Nakshi Plus was fined Tk 30,000, Lekmi Tk 10,000 and Mudon shop Tk 5,000 by raiding the Chawkbazar of the city. Earlier on the afternoon of June 23, Mudon and Lekmi Bipani were fined for selling products at double profit. At that time they were warned to sell the product in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act but they did not obey it.
