HSC, Alim and equivalent exam results 2016 will be released next Thursday (August 18). The results of the eight General Education Boards, Madrasas and Technical Education Boards are now brought to the Inter-Board Computer Center in Dhaka. Incidental work of result finalization will be completed today and tomorrow. General seven board chairmen are now staying in Dhaka.
The education minister and board chairmen will hand over the copy of this year's results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban on Thursday morning. The result will be announced officially through a press conference at the Ministry of Education at 1 pm. Candidates will be able to know the result through internet and mobile phone SMS from 2 pm onwards.
This time the number of candidates in all the boards is 12 lakh 18 thousand 628 people. Among them, six lakh 54 thousand 114 male students and five lakh 64 thousand 514 female students. 10 lakh 20 thousand 109 students appeared in HSC under eight boards, 91 thousand 591 in Alim examination under Madrasa Board and 1 lakh 2 thousand 132 in HSC Vocational (Technical).
The theory (written) exam was scheduled to start on April 3 and end on June 9, but the exam was repeatedly postponed due to UP elections and Cyclone Roanu. This time also the result is published within 60 days of the completion of the written examination.
This year's HSC candidates will also know the subject-wise marks obtained. The students are getting this facility as per the order of the court. But not in the academic transcript, the results of each student on the board's website will contain the GPA, grade points as well as marks obtained.
In this regard, Mahbub Hasan, the examination controller of Chittagong Education Board, said, 'We will give the marks, GPA and letter grade points obtained by the students for the first time in the results of each student on the website of the board. In this students can easily know how many marks they have got in any subject. However, when asked whether the regulation of keeping marks in the academic transcript is being kept, he said, for now we are not keeping marks in the academic transcript.
Result to be known on mobile and website: After 2 pm the result will be published on the website of the respective institution and on the website of the education boards. The website address of the board is, (www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd). Apart from this, the exam result can be known by SSM from any mobile as usual. For this, go to the message option on the mobile and write HSC with a space, write the first three letters of the board, write the roll number with a space, write 2016 with a space and send an SMS to 16222. Result will be informed in return SMS.
Similarly, to know Madrasa Board Alim result, write Alm with space Mad, write roll number with space, write 2016 with space and send SMS to 16222. Similarly, to know HSC Vocational result, write HSC, write Tec with space, write roll number with space, write 2016 with space and send SMS to 16222. In both cases the result will be informed by return SMS.
Like last few years, the boards will inform the educational institutes about their results through e-mail. No paper or writing of any kind will be sent to the educational institution.
