Awami League's candidate list is also being prepared

The ruling Awami League is finalizing the candidate list for the 11th National Assembly elections. The most acceptable ones are selected based on team observations and various surveys. Candidates are being listed on the assumption that BNP will come to the polls. Hundreds of MP-ministers who have been controversial for various reasons or have questioned the image of the party and the government may be deprived of party nomination. Awami League President Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is bringing those who are ahead in popularity. It is said that the nominees from the policy-making stage will be notified at a specific time.

According to party sources, Awami League's main target is 210 seats in the 11th National Assembly elections. The remaining 90 seats will be reserved for the Grand Alliance. Several leaders at the policy-making level of the party have confirmed that candidates have been finalized in 135 seats targeting 210 seats. They say that the candidate of the party will be finalized before September. The seats of alliance candidates will also be allotted before the schedule is announced. So that the de-nominated parties do not create a rift in the party, they will be appeased by showing various options from the Center and everyone will be asked to work sincerely to get the party's nominee passed. Out of 135 constituencies, 11 constituencies are said to have two candidates each. It is taking some time to make a final decision about them.
