Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda said that there is no chance of delaying the date of the 11th National Assembly elections.
On Tuesday morning, he said, "After December 30, there is no opportunity to postpone the date of the 11th National Assembly election."
Earlier, the date for the National Assembly election was announced on December 23, but in view of the demands of the political parties, the Election Commission (EC) changed it and rescheduled it on Monday afternoon.
According to the new schedule, the election will be held on December 30. Last date for submission of nomination papers is 28 November.
Selection and withdrawal of nomination papers will be informed later, EC said.
