Law enforcement forces are conducting special operations across the country including the capital. During the operation, 1,319 people have been arrested across the country in the last 24 hours.
However, the police say that this campaign, which started on December 1 on the occasion of Great Victory Day, Christmas and Thirteenth Night, will continue until December 15.
Meanwhile, various residential hotels and messes in the capital are being searched every day. Apart from this, the district police is also monitoring the BNP-Jamaat leaders and activists in different areas of the country.
Meanwhile, on Monday morning, police stationed on the road in front of the house of BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas. He told reporters that it is unsafe at home. However, the police claimed that the position was taken there as part of regular activities.
According to the information received from the police headquarters and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), 1,319 people have been arrested across the country in 2,226 special operations in 24 hours including Monday. However, 255 people were arrested in the capital. 404 cases were registered during the operation.
In this regard, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Police Commissioner (Media) Farooq Hossain said that 255 people have been arrested from different areas of the capital. They are accused in various cases. The ongoing special operations are regular police work.
Ready RAB: Director of Law and Media Wing of RAB Commander Khandaker Al Moin said that every unit of RAB is ready to deal with any situation centered on BNP's mass gathering. RAB is always trying to keep Dhaka city safe.
He also said that there will be a patrol and search post by RAB around the rally. Detectives in white clothes are in the field. Meanwhile, detectives are monitoring the cyber world.
