Case filed in rape of four-year-old child

A four-year-old child was allegedly raped by a local paan trader Md. Sayeed Ullah in Kamalnagar, Lakshmipur. The victim's father Omar Faruk filed a case with Kamalnagar Police Station as the plaintiff in this incident. The child has been admitted to Lakshmipur Sadar Hospital in a critical condition. The incident took place at around 10 am on Friday (June 1) in Charmartin village of the upazila.

According to the victim's relatives and hospital sources, Sayeed Ullah, a resident of Char Lawrence area of Kamalnagar, lives in the in-laws' house as a house-sitter in the Char Martin area. In the morning, the four-year-old child from the house next to that house went to his grandfather's house with his mother. His father also went out for work. At that time, on the way back to their house, Md. Sayeed Ullah picked her up and raped her. The child was rescued in a bloody state and admitted to Sadar Hospital.

Relatives and neighbors have demanded the arrest of the accused rapist and justice for the incident.

Dr. Anwar Hossain, Resident Medical Officer of Sadar Hospital, said, "A child was admitted to the hospital after being brought to the hospital with excessive bleeding in a life-threatening condition. The police were informed about the rape incident. The patient's condition is critical."

Kamalnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Iqbal Hossain said that a case has been registered at Kamalnagar Police Station regarding the rape. Police Inspector Abul Kalam Azad, in-charge of the Hazirhat Investigation Center, has been given the responsibility of investigating the case.
