Inauguration ceremony of Padma Bridge will be shown on big screens at eight points in Chittagong city.
On the morning of June 25, the program will be shown live at Newmarket Junction, Agrabad Junction, Bahaddarhat Junction, Kaptai Road Head, Andarkillah Junction, Jamal Khan Junction, Old Railway Station and Barapul Junction.
This decision was taken in an extended meeting of Chittagong Metropolitan Awami League on Tuesday.
Mahanagar Awami League Acting President Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury, General Secretary AJM Nashir Uddin addressed the meeting.
President-general secretaries of various organizational police stations and wards of the city gave speeches.
In the meeting, on the occasion of the party's foundation anniversary, a decision was also taken to hold a rally at the city's old railway station premises on June 23.
Organizing Secretary of Nagar Awami League Shafiq Adnan told Samakal that the Padma Bridge will be inaugurated on June 25. There is joy and excitement among the people of the country. 'Giant screens' will be set up at eight points in the city to give the people of Chittagong an opportunity to watch the event on the big screen.
