Mohammad Sheikh Sadi, Chittagong: Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) Chittagong branch election supported by Mayor AJ M Nashir panel Dr. Mujibul Haque Khan-Dr. Faisal Iqbal Chowdhury was elected by a huge margin in the council panel.
Mujib-Faisal panel president candidate Dr. Mujibul Haque Khan received 2119 votes and general secretary candidate Dr. Faisal Iqbal Chowdhury got 2268 votes
Nasir-Minhajur Parishad president candidate Dr. rival panel in the election. Nasir Uddin Mahmud got 1127 votes for general secretary candidate Dr. AM Minhajur Rahman got 959 votes.
Counting took place on Thursday after polling took place amid tight security throughout the day. Chief Election Commissioner Dr. Dr. Alauddin Majumdar.
