A'League candidates have won in 2 unions of Kamalnagar upazila of Laxmipur. In the voting held from 8 am to 5 pm on Monday, A'League candidate Md. Nurul Amin Master of Char Lawrence Union was elected by getting 8236 votes with the boat symbol. His nearest rival BNP candidate Mosharraf Hossain Khokon received 1153 votes. In Char Martin Union, A'League candidate Md. Yusuf Ali Mia Bhai was elected by getting 8600 votes with the boat symbol. His nearest rival independent candidate Md. Jahangir Motorcycle received 1557 votes. Upazila Election Officer Zakir Mahmud declared Yusuf Ali Mia Bhai elected in Char Martin and Md. Nurul Amin Master elected in Char Lawrence Union unofficially.
