National mourning day observed in Kamalnagar

The 41st martyrdom anniversary and National Mourning Day of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was observed at Kamalnagar in Laxmipur with deep respect and solemnity. (Today) Monday, on this occasion, at 9 o'clock in the morning, a huge mourning rally circled the various roads of the upazila. Later, a discussion meeting was held at the upazila parishad auditorium. Upazila Executive Officer SM Sofi Kamal presided over the meeting. Laxmipur-4 Ramgati Kamalnagar Member of Parliament Abdullah Al Mamun MP was present as the chief guest. Jatiya Sramik League leader Advocate Anwarul Haque, Upazila Muktijudda Command Council Commander Safiq Uddin were among others present. Abdul Motaleb, Principal of Hazir Hat Upkul College, Hazir Hat Hamedia Fazil Degree Madrasa Principal Md. Zayed Hosain Faruqi, Upazila A. League President Master AKM Nurul Amin, General Secretary Advocate Nurul Amin Raju. Kabir Ahmed, Acting Incharge of Kamalnagar Police Station, Nizam Uddin, Abul Khair and Haji Harunur Rashid, Secondary Education Officer Tohidul Islam and various officials of the administration and other members of the upazila were present. At the end of the meeting, prizes were distributed among the winners of drawing and writing competitions.
