Dhaka:
The results of SSC and equivalent examinations will be published on Sunday (May 6). Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will hand over the result copy to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 10 am today.
The Ministry of Education said that the detailed results will be announced in a press conference at the secretariat at 1 pm. Candidates will know the result from 2 pm.
SSC and equivalent theoretical subject exams were held from February 1 to February 25. The practical exam started on 26th February and ended on 4th March.
This year, a total of 20 lakh 31 thousand 889 candidates participated in 3 thousand 412 centers across the country. Among them, 10 lakh 23 thousand 212 students and 10 lakh 8 thousand 687 female students.
A total of 16 lakh 27 thousand 378 candidates took part in SSC, 2 lakh 89 thousand 752 candidates took part in the entrance examination under Madrasa Board and 1 lakh 14 thousand 769 candidates took part in technical examination.
From the last few years, the Ministry of Education has been releasing the results within 60 days of the completion of the theory test.
Last year 80.35 percent students passed SSC and equivalent exams. Among them 1 lakh 4 thousand 761 got GPA-5.
Apart from the website of the education boards, the result can also be known by SMS from any mobile.
