Former national team cricketer Mashrafe Bin Mortuza was elected Member of Parliament with the boat symbol for the second time in a row.
Mashrafe got 1 lakh 22 thousand 34 votes in Narail-2 constituency. His nearest independent got 2 thousand 125 votes. As such, Mashrafe was elected privately with about 120,000 votes.
Besides, national team cricketer Shakib Al Hasan was elected from Magura-1 constituency. Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hasan Papon has been elected privately.
He got 1 lakh 98 thousand 155 votes from Kishoreganj-6 seat with boat symbol. His closest rival got 3,205 votes.
