11th class admission policy issued

The Ministry of Education has issued the 11th Class Admission Policy-218. On Monday (May 7), Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division, Md Sohrab Hossain, informed about the policy of admission to class 11 in the academic year 2018-19.
According to the policy, the admission fee including session charges shall not exceed 1000 taka in Mofswal/Pauar (Upazila) area, 2000 taka in Paur (district headquarter) area and 3000 taka in all other metropolitan areas except Dhaka.
Students cannot collect more than five thousand rupees for admission in MPO-affiliated institutions located in metropolitan areas. For payment of salaries and allowances to teachers who are part of the MPO or outside the MPO located in the metropolitan area, students can accept a maximum of Tk 9 thousand in Bengali version and a maximum Tk 10 thousand in English version along with admission fee, session charge and development fee at the time of admission. In the development sector, no organization can collect more than three thousand rupees.
According to the policy, government colleges will collect necessary fees as per the government circular.
This policy will be applicable for the admission of students in the academic year 2018-19 in all government and private colleges/equivalent institutions of the country. In case of any violation of this policy, the MPO membership of the college will be canceled along with cancellation of teaching permission or recognition in the case of private colleges/equivalent institutions. In the case of government colleges, action will be taken against those concerned as per rules.
According to the policy, online and SMS applications for admission to Class XI will start from May 13. Application deadline is May 24. However, the applications of those whose results will be changed in the re-verification of the results will be accepted on June 5 and 6. The results of the selected students in the first phase will be published on June 10. After that the admission process will continue from 27th to 30th June after completion of other ancillary work including result publication and migration. Classes will start from July 1.
