BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the schedule has been announced for one-sided elections. This schedule did not reflect the will of the people.
He said this in a ceremonial response after announcing the schedule at the BNP Chairperson's political office in Gulshan in the capital on Thursday night.
He said, leaving the dialogue incomplete, the schedule for unilateral elections has been announced. This schedule was supposed to be postponed.
On the other hand, the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda announced the schedule of the 11th National Assembly elections in the evening. According to the schedule, polling will be held on December 23.
According to the announced schedule, the last date for submission of nomination papers is 19 November, the date of selection is 22 November and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is 29 November.
