Driving can also be done by showing the e-license on the smartphone

From now on drivers can drive by showing the e-license collected on the smartphone even without carrying the driving license. Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has given permission.

Deputy Secretary of BRTA Establishment Branch on Sunday. The order was issued in a revised notification signed by Monirul Alam.

According to the notification, both driving license card and e-driving license will be equally acceptable to motorists for visa processing, use abroad, employment etc. using e-driving license. The information about the driving license can be verified directly from the database by the QR code contained in it.

In this regard, Deputy Director of BRTA Chittagong Metro-2 Circle, Syed Ainul Huda Chowdhury said that motor vehicles can be driven using driving license smart card in the country. But now e-License has been added. Drivers can drive without carrying the driving license but by showing the e-driving license stored in the smartphone. Apart from this, you can use e-driving license of smartphone for other government and private works as well.
