Due to ongoing heatwave, all government primary schools, schools of Shishu Kalyan Trust and learning centers of non-formal education bureau have been declared closed till next Thursday (May 2).
The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education announced this information in a press release on Monday. The notification mentions that this decision has been taken considering the health and safety of the child students.
Primary to higher secondary schools opened yesterday after a long holiday of a week and Eid, fasting due to severe heat wave. A new holiday was announced in some districts after one day of classes. But it was announced to open the primary schools yesterday Sunday. Now it has been declared closed again.
